Local Courses La Finca - 1st class course approx 6km from Entre Naranjos
The new La Finca golf course, set in the heart of the Vega Baja countryside, is set to be one of the best golf courses on the Costa Blanca. Designed by D. José Gancedo, La Finca is being acclaimed as a unique and challenging golf experience, with breathtaking views and the kind of quality installations and services that only Villamartin can provide.
Las Ramblas - approx 10km from Entre Naranjos Las Ramblas Golf club Spain. Par 72 18 holes Club de golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela is located between two ravines on the shore of the Mediterranean. Las Ramblas golf course is situated next to a luxury housing estate. The course is known for its narrow fairways and greens. Accurate hitting and precision are needed when hitting the ball to maintain your handicap. There are only four holes where water does not feature and the course has some memorable holes. The rocky terrain is spectacular, with elevated tees, narrow fairways and lightning fast greens.
Campoamor - Lovely course approx 10km from Entre Naranjos Real Club de Golf Campoamor Golf Club Spain Par 72 18 holes 6203 metres South Costa Blanca Course Golf Real Club de Golf Campoamor is situated near Torrevieja, and this eighteen hole course is a good all round course for both the professional and the amateur player It is in fairly open country and has attractive vegetation. The fairways at Campoamor are wide and long giving the impression of easy play. The inclination of the greens and fairways however make accurate play quite difficult and this offers the biggest challenge There are a couple of short Par 4s, which will appeal to the big hitters who can try and reach the green in one. The is a good mix of Par 3, 4, and 5's and hole 12 makes fun play. A real holiday course, which will do your ego the world of good This Royal course has elevated tees, wide, long and lush rolling fairways. Campoamor is the longest playing course of the three in this area. Once again good putting is required to score well here.
Villamartin - Championship course approx 10km from Entre Naranjos At twenty five years this is the oldest of the four golf courses and is really breathtaking in its beauty. Playing over undulating fairways to well protected greens, no two holes are alike on this superb course. A ravine comes into play on the inward part of the course and the par 5 14th and the par 3 17th are spectacular holes on a course that is always in excellent condition
La Marquesa - Fairways cut through local hills approx 14km from Entre Naranjos
La Manga - Famous golf complex 45 min drive from Entre Naranjos La Manga Golf Club - The North Course Course 6321 yds. Par 71 North Course La Manga Founded: 1971 - Architect: Robert Dean Putman The North Course is now for many players, the golfing highlight at La Manga Club The North Course is more undulating than the South and offers a different, yet no less challenging round of golf. Relying on precision rather than length, an added challenge is provided by the barrancas that snake their way through the course The natural storm gullies feature on all three golf courses and add an extra dimension to the game. As with the South Course and particularly on the back nine, water is a prominent feature The North Course at La Manga is a par 71 layout where precision rather than length is the main requirement. Strategic ravines around the course will make laying up a sensible choice for most players most times, and hitting a ball right to left will also be an invaluable help. Slightly hillier than La Manga South Course, spectacular views across the resort can be seen from the 4th tee, the highest point on the course. Beware the short 2nd, only 96 metres long from an elevated tee but with deep, narrow green where the player can easily 3 putt. The greens are not as big as those of the south course, but they are well protected by deep bunkers and with their subtle breaks are assured top test players of all abilities Soft spikes only La Manga Golf Club Spain - The South Course Length 6361 metres, par 72 Re designed by Arnold Palmer in 1992 The South Course at La Manga Golf Club was originally designed by Robert Putman, and revised by Arnold Palmer, it is considered to be the toughest of the courses at the La Manga Golf Club resort. It has played host to a number of Spanish PGA Championships. Located in the centre of the valley, with wide palm-fringed fairways and few hidden dangers, the South, whilst being a top-calibre championship course, is enjoyed by golfers of all standards. Many strategically positioned water hazards and bunkers will punish wayward shots The front nine are particularly tough with two par 3s over 200 metres and some daunting par 4’s which will require some accurate driving between lakes and bunkers, and long irons or fairway woods to the green The back nine although shorter, has a number of tight dog-leg holes and special attention to the par 5 18th, with water on both sides of the fairway and a ravine just short of the green totally surrounded by sand, which will provide a particularly stern finish The greens in general are big and straightforward, but the player may often find himself with very long putts A Valid handicap certificate will be required to play this course. Soft spikes only La Manga Golf Club Spain - The West Course 6530 yds. par 73 The West Course was founded in 1971, and designed by Dave Thomas This recently upgraded undulating course offers an interesting alternative to both North and South courses and rewards the accurate iron player. More precision than power is required to reach the small but well defended greens The West Course is a beautifully manicured tree lined course and is set in the rolling hillside overlooking La Manga Club. It’s breathtaking views, undulating fairways and fast greens make the west course a particularly exciting course to play. At this golf course your skills will be tested to the full. Especially the par 3 holes which are a collection of probably the best short holes to be found anywhere on one golf course, leaving the par 5’s to make up for the lost shots. Accuracy and good golf course management are very much a premium. Set amid serene pine woodlands, the West Course has frequent changes in elevation with which to contend. This is a deceiving golf course that demands the occasional blind shot. A tight front nine contrasts with the more open, but nonetheless challenging, back nine Those who get the better of the charming and elusive West Course will have played a memorable round
